21  Consultations

21.1 Overview

Members of our group are available to meet with researchers one-on-one to help them solve individual data problems. These can be one-off appointments, or recurring meetings.

Here are some helpful things to keep in mind when working with people in this capacity:

21.2 During a meeting

• Here is a link to some helpful IT resources at UA.
• Remind them about the Incubator program.
• Plug the fall reproducibility series.
• Ask them how they found out about us.

21.3 After meeting with someone

• Document the meeting and what you worked on here.
• Add the meeting to the CCT Effort Spreadsheet (link changes each year; 2024).
• If it has been a recurrent collaboration, consider following up a few weeks after your last meeting to check on their progress.
• Consider collecting testimonial feedback to save here.
